After years of politics, and a long hiatus, I am back. But this time my focus will be on the brighter side of life: reviews of my favorite pass time, like books, series, and movies. In addition, to the unfortunate political commentary...

No big surprises!
No big surprises, the St Clous round of talks have neither failed nor succeed, just like the current situation in the country, which in neither outright war nor peace. The current status-quo (if it can be called that) is maintained and the standoff will continue.

As you probably all read in the papers about the meeting between bashar el asad and Ahmadinijad in Syria you also already know about the huge amount of money that Iran is planning on purchasing for Syria and in return Syria will not negotiate peace with Israel and will keep the same attitude with Lebanon.
I wonder if anyone have any "extra" to add to this info
also wonder if it just a matter of time till ahmadinijad will vanish other countries residence as he did on el ahuaz in his country for 1.2 million Arabs.
Bob, what do you think about this?
Meir
You see while Arabs constantly accuse Israel for all their woes, they forget their own atrocities or the ones committed by other than Israel: look at Darfur, and as you mentioned the Ahwaz Arabs in Iran that are being ethnicly cleansed, by the same regime that is the "champion" of the Arab-Israeli struggle...
Yes, I definately know what you mean.
In these days my home town is being flooded with refugees from Darfur that came into Israel from Egypt after they risked of being arrested there.
The Israeli law forbids sending away refugees with risks for there life, so even that there is no peach with Darfur we still have to find a solution for them
And I am happy about it!
