There are no worse criminals than those who kill children. And nothing, not a cause, no matter how holy or an ideology, no matter how right; or a demand, no matter how just, that can justify the killing of a child...
Samir Kuntar did not deserve a hero’s welcome, he is a child killer. Maybe he atoned for his crime, in his thirty year imprisonment, but that does not absolve him of his barbaric act and warrant him such a celebration. He killed a father in front of his four years old daughter and then smashed her head on a rock, with his machine gun...
As most of the Lebanese politicians lined up to salute the returned prisoners, my humanity cringed... like it did when innocent children were killed in Qana, the South and even in Israel.

In the future, when the next war erupts and children will die from both sides, refrain from condemning Israeli brutality and massacres, for on this day you stood silent... and silence is a crime.

shame on you, Bob
Shame on me???
Shame on me for what???
refusing to give a hero's welcome to a child killer??
SHAME ON ME?? OR SHAME ON YOU?
universal humanity is quite a bit high above shame
You are correct. That was a truly disgusting spectacle. I'm glad I don't live in that part of the world!
I also believe there are absolutely no reasons for killing innocents people, let along children. It's a shame for Lebanon that she welcomed Quntar with such celebrations. The mufti Ali Juzo put it better. I recommend you watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NbDKluyG68

just for the sake of discussion:
what other choice does hizbollah have? after 30 something years of imprisonment they can not but make a hero out of him. especially when the opponent is isreal. what do u suggest to free him without a fuss even when it costed the lebanese nation a war to bring those people back?
ziado
Exactly...
it cost Lebanon a war to bring back a child killer...
HENCE HA should not wage a war to free a child killers. but we all know that the war was not really about him or any other prisonner... just look at what happened after the war and you will understand.
it was just a PR stunt to rise HA status in Lebanon and the Arab world, as shall the next war be ( when HA will avenge Imad Mugnieh or shoot down an Israeli airplane)
