It is time to choose!

It is time to choose!

You are with the state of Lebanon or with the resistance!
You are with reconstruction or with destruction!
With peace or war!

Choose! And choose now. There is no neutrality any more, no more calls for unity or the like. The resistance or Hezbollah lead us to all this, without even asking our permission. No more! I will not accept this to happen again in two or three years. I want a sovereign state of Lebanon with only one army and a defined border, that live in peace, democracy and prosperity!

Stand by the government of Lebanon, support it, and support your PM Siniora. We want a strong democratic state, and the only way to accomplish that is through a fair peace with Israel. Now!

PEACE NOW

Bob,
you are incredible and blatantly irresponsible!!

HA has lost a lot of political capital. You are advertising a new civil war by taking sides.

Be responsible and at least show some courage by promoting unity in the time of war and OVERREACTION by the jewish war machine.

MAZe and SC

Keep the discussion objective and no personal abuse. Please I abhor censorship, I do not want to remove any comment. so please refrain from insults.

Now MAZe

The unity you are calling will mean that i am standing with Hezbollah who caused all of this. You want unity than stand with your government who is calling for Hezbollah to retreat from the south and sending the army to the border and an immediate cease fire!
So again it u who have to choose between Hezbollah irresponsibility and the government of Lebanon
between peace and war

So do not call me irresponsible, i am not! Hezbollah is, when they dragged us ( without even asking mind you) into this bloody mess.

PEACE NOW

Bob, what are you doing?

I don't see anything in your blog about the cruelty of Israel, three decades of aggression and occupation before Hizbullah was even born.

Worst of all, I see less and less lebanese commenting on your blog.

What are you doing?

It sounds to me like the people of Lebanon have a lot to work out for themselves.

It's a shame this whole thing happened. It's a shame you have to be under fire when you're trying to resolve your most dividing differences.

Bob, I don't know how you feel about Israel at this point. Even I have my doubts after almost a whole week.

What started out -- I hope -- as an attempt to reach out to the innocent bystanders in this conflict has unfortunately deteriorated to ridiculous push-me-pull-me arguments between people who should be having serious dialogue.

Don't you constantly wonder if we can ever resolve these differences?

Perpetual Refugee, with all his ties to my country, is confused and irate. If he can't see through this, then can anyone?

If the following people try to enter your country, kill them:

PLO, Hizballah, Al Quaeda, Taliban, Hammas. They are all nothing but trouble.

I wouldn't wait for the Palestinian problem to be solved. Those nutters kept firing rockets out of Gaza even after the IDF pulled out. And they elected the nutty islamic jihadists of Hammas, rather than go with a reasonable secular party.

Lebanon is a country that needs to come together (Christian, Druze, Muslim) to fight the occupation of Hizballah as it fought the occupation of Syria. Of course, some of the Lebanese Shi'as are not on your side.

First

I explained before that no insults will be allowed on my blog so i am asking Human to edit or delete its comment ( you have a few hours, or i will be obliged to delete it myself although I abhor censorship)

Next, I am really saddened that more Israel are supporting the lawful Lebanese government than Lebanese!
It is easy I support the lawful government of Lebanon and between the resistance and the state I choose the state and fully support the actions Siniora demanded…

Now talking about Isreal’s cruelty…
I can only tell you this small allegory:
If you have a sleeping bear, with long claws and sharp teeth and know that when he is enraged he goes in a berserker rage…
And then a small bee goes and hit him in his eye.
The bear wake up and started hurting other bees, small, big and even baby bees…
So what you should do in this situation? Scream at the bear and uselessly condemn his action? You know as I know it is useless, the bear is a bear and it is his nature to fiercely defend and some time use excessive force against everything he sees or might suspect as his enemy. and sometimes be cruel...SO what I am doing s trying to make sure that these stupid bees who first woke up the bear will never again have a chance to wake him or even anger him

Finally,
As I posted before I totally condemn all innocent, civilian and infrastructure killings from both sides. And we have massacres happening on both sides, ours more than theirs, I abhor violence and indiscriminate killing. In this case it does not matter who started it should stop! But we live in a hard and ugly reality and what I want and you want will not happen! Look reality in the face and see where the problem is and try solving it!
Constant condemnation leads no where! You need to define the problem and fin d a realistic solution!
Mine is TO FOLOOW THE LEBANESE GOVERNMENT efforts and plan! What is yours? Cheering Hezbollah on?

Let me ask you? How many Lebanese comments are you receiving? 2,3 maybe four? Let me tell you that if you look hard you will find that may Lebanese bloggers support what I say, on the top of my head I can recall: Ghassan…
It it true we are a minority but I feel that what “I am doing” is finding a real solution to this bloody mess and not uselessly condemning and insulting this faction or the other.

Awaiting your answer
Ya Jooj

Bears and bees?
i thought you were going to talk about the birds and the bees.

Your analogy is missing something: the poor frightened skinny homeless teddy bear turned into an untamed big monster as it started eating more and more. look at its current retalitory action: it really tells you how much it values the sanctity of life.

Muhamad Ali vs George Foreman - Rumble in the jungle.

George Foreman furious after Muhamad Ali provoked him continuously before the match and in the first round... THe giant bear came out swinging like a savage beast. George used to put holes in boxing bags. Muhamad ali floated like a butterfly and stung like a bee... Finally in the eigth round, when Foreman had no energy left, Ali landed the final combo, a left hook that brought Foreman's head up into position so Ali could smash him with a rock-hard right straight to the face. Foreman staggered, then twirled across half the ring before landing on his back almost in the center.

Now Your giant analogical bear won't fall now or in 20 years... but it will fall. bit by bit they'll realise they need PEACE too. Meaningful peace not just getting rid off Hezbollah.

Until Arafart and his band of merry murderer establsihed a base in South Lebanon, the border was quiet and peaceful...

But first you let one band of murderers, the Fatah in... Now you let Hezbollah...

So don't complain if you are hit... Either it is Lebanon and you can disarm Hezbollah, or it is Hezbollah country and it is at war with Israel...

Thanx for writing this Bob,

You are the kind of Lebanese the world understands and respects.

Those that are in dhimmitude are just disgusting. They're the ones showing photos of dead kids instead of photos of dead Hezbollah. They don't understand that showing photos of dead kids is exactly what Hezbollah wants.

Actually they DO understand that.

Because they are in dhimmitude and helping the enemy.

Can you answer this: Did the Christian and Druze Lebs LOSE the civil war in the end? Or am I just seeing radical left wing blogs because Truth Laid Bear is run by idiots?

You have no idea how much I agree with you

I live in San Francisco, away from the playing feild of the imperial american army and their errand boy Israel. I would also like to say I grew up going to Yeshiva in brooklyn, i have alot of relatives in Israel. If we wnt to talk about Nazis america is the wors killers in the history of mankind, the government is just really good at covering it up. america doesent care about democracy. right now we use fancy words as terrorist for anyone who opposes our control. I call these people the true freedom fighters of the world, who have no choice but to obtain their soveirgnty at any costs, because no one else is palying fair israel dosent give these people a chance to fight with honour on an even playing field. if someone came to my house everyday with a gun and raped my wife and kids and inflicted harm on my famiily, i would do anything i can to stop them, is this terrorism... NO!! I hope that Hezbollah inflicts embarrisment and pain on the zionist machine. The only way thAT THERE WILL EVER BE PEACE IS FOR ISRAEL TO INTEGRATE all the palestinians into citizens with full rights and equal say. You might not realize this but the press in america is treating this like the start of world war 3, and yes it is. America will not be satisfied untill it dominates the whole world. Isreal is but a mear pawn, to create a wider war so america can take care of Iran now before they become a bigger threat, to our precious oil. If Bush wasnt so stupid we could have taken all the money used in the iraq war to uild hydrogen fueling stations and solar panel s all the houses in north america. this would have secured the US and made us not so dpendant on the resource that is killing os many people. wkae up people this is world war 3 and you are in the midsts of the front lines. stand up to american imperial power now before its too late.

Hizballah talks as though they know war, and Isreal talks as though they know peace, yet both are know neither but the opposites knowledge. Isreal is clearly fighting for the occupation of Lebanon, Actions speak louder then words and the actions I see (The bombing of thousands of innocents) is a clear message to me that this is clearly just a task force sent in to reclaim Lebanon that Isreal had to pull out of so many years ago. Those of you who can express some sympathy toward Hizballah realize that they have evolved from a petty back-water militia into a fortified professional army and this is what scares Isreal and America. Moving aside from the topic slightly, though this may be an understatement. Most of you would probably agree, if you had any mental capacity what-so-ever, that the U.N. ceases to exist. It is true, they have technically disbanded and by technically I mean that they have given up on the world and just sit, wait and watch as the very union they created to prevent WWIII has become the preparation weapon that leads to WWIII. Back to the main topic however, those of you who claim that all of Lebanon should unite against Hizballah really need to see through the eyes of the people which Hizballah helps. Hizballah is not just an army or a "terrorist group" as many of you like to claim it as. They help the locals in Lebanon be they Christian, Shi'as, Sunni, Druze. They provide hospital service, education service, water and food supplies, clothing, any of the essentials to aiding a populace get back on its feet. So before anyone of you can claim your opinion, you better have stood on that battle field with a gun in one hand and a solution in the other. Then, after that, can you ever voice your opinion and expect to be heard.
