It seems to me your are not very optimistic about any peace
would you agree religion or ethniticity should not interfer in the country's politics and perhaps that is the biggest issue which will be hard to overcome
of course that is a given. religion should never interfer with politics, or even public life.
however the main problem at the moment is foreign intervention and the war of others on our land, that use, among other, religion to sow dissent...
Yes
but people shouldnt keep blaming foreign intervention because it is a global world these days - there are companies from all over the world taking over local businesses (power)
its up to the people to trust their leaders and its Lebanon's leaders that are a major problem and the constitution is crap and there is no compliance of the Lebanese Government and noone realy follows the letter of the law.
There is not a problem with political parties taking sides with other countries it happens here with Australia and the US.
However at the end of the day its the government that makes the decisions and they are voted by the people.
It seems to me everyone in Lebanon has a piece of the action and nobody truly respects decisions made by the one government. If the government is crap vote them out after 4 years.
